Marcela Hernández is a Venezuelan producer. With experience in film, advertising, and television, she has worked in various roles within the production department.
Marcela began her career at Tres Cinematografía, where she served as production coordinator for the Film and Advertising Department for three years. During this time, she supported the production processes of films such as "Once Upon a Time in Venezuela, Congo Mirador," a documentary feature by Anabel Rodríguez Ríos, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival (2020), and has received over fifteen international awards. Marcela also served as Production Coordinator for the short film "DIONEA," a project produced by Tres Cinematografía.
Beyond her time at Tres Cinematografía, Marcela contributed as a production assistant for the first season of the government-funded period television program "Carabobo,Caminos de Libertad" (2021-2022).
Currently, Marcela is the Operations Manager at JEVA, where she has led the realization of several important projects for the organization, such as the inaugural edition of "Mi vida es de película" a regional project for 100 women from 8 South American countries, volumes 1 and 2 of the intensive post-production workshop "No Hay Post Sin Nuestra Voz" among others.
Marcela recently produced a series of short documentaries titled "GG Venezuela," delving into the video game scene in Venezuela, which is available on YouTube.Marcela is an Alumni of the Berlinale EFM Doc Toolbox 2024.
